Voice over

Patient name: Walker, James
Age: 18 years

Symptoms: Hallucinations, often the form of a young male, changes in behaviour have been reported by family members, patient has become withdrawn and is becoming increasingly paranoid. Patient cannot maintain concentration on tasks for extended periods of time. Since March last year, mother of patient reported the display of antisocial behaviour towards family and friends, in the form of verbal abuse.

Possible causes could involve trauma experienced as a result of the recent death within the family.

Potential diagnosis: Mild Schizophrenia



This doctors report will be the voice over for our trailer so that it is more obvious that the protagonist has a mental disorder and is not being stalked.

Test footage: layering

When we re-film, we may try to keep the lights out of shot and possibly increase the lighting a bit further, or bounce a light from a low angle in order for the footage to be less grainy and enable Fynn's features to stand out more.
We might also try layering another shot on top to increase disorientation, and we would only use maximum 1.5 seconds of this footage at any given point.

conjunction therewith or to the eventual use that it might be applied.

I understand that participation in this project is voluntary and that I may at anytime discontinue

my involvement.  I also understand that my participation or non-participation will in no way

jeopardize my relation with The University of California Santa Cruz.

I understand that the recordist/cinematographer/photographer can see no risk presently, and that I

take full responsibility for my involvement in this project and the risks that it may entail (be they

legal, physical, or mental).

My name and participation may be kept confidential and not associated in any way with the

finished recording(s), film(s), photograph(s), or printed material(s) if I so choose.

Location Scouting

Brighton

We decided to use Brighton to film a variety of shots due to the vast number of backgrounds available throughout the town, we were also able to capture a range of aesthetically pleasing shots. Due to the distance, we had to ensure that our planning was thorough so that re-filming would not be necessary.

Tonbridge Graveyard/Church

We chose to use Tonbridge graveyard as it was convenient for all of us and the cast to get to and served its purpose by creating connotations to the themes in our trailer and evoking the wanted emotions in the audience.

Therapists room

We chose to use an office in school for our therapist room as we also cast a teacher as the therapist. This made it convenient to film the shots and also created the correct atmosphere. The rise-en-scene was also suitable.

Tonbridge Park

We used Tonbridge park for the bridge scene and to also get some atmospheric shots which improved the melancholy ambience of our trailer. It was also easy for everyone to access which was ideal for if we needed to refilm anything.

Music Inspiration Soundscape

Due to copyright reasons, we cannot use any of the following songs for our trailer, however, they were very important in regards to inspiration for the music we did eventually decide to use
